The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
