Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text of Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard through select stations covering another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six in the football calendar , after last week's discussion regarding two top teams as possible championship contenders, each surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable during those contests were the amount of infractions both committed. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the final quarter versus Denver, who play overseas this Sunday.

However it was good to see that Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome that deficit before lead three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the game by four points.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily rushing extra defenders but they might position two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on of the season, it was noted on a program that the Broncos might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended last season well and did a good job of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has stepped up significantly and new running back JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).

It's impressive how the coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a team aiming to prioritize the run, because one can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while maintains in favourable down and distances.

This has helped quarterback the young passer, who came the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick last year, passing for 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he is so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, being able to pass while moving, as well as using different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got a lot of composure under pressure and is not really fazed by the blitz. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.

If you consistently rush it eats up the clock and forces the defence to stay in play extended periods, and if you've got a mobile QB the defense must defend the area downfield side to side. This proves draining.

Nix has bitten back with the coach on the sideline at times and it seems Payton likes that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback who's kind of like moldable clay. He can really develop him the way he wants to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the success Denver are having offensively is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his game sense – and the combination with the QB helps make him what he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost self-belief.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working better than most, which is a good place to hold the AFC West. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They excel at leaning into their forte, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do against the Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (among the worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team without a win any game.

Since the NFL began tracking turnovers decades ago, the Jets are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, which is surprising when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss by the Jaguars.

After this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.

This hinges on what version Kansas City shows up they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
